This image is from art poster "Kunstschau Wien" by Austrian artist Oskar Kokoschka, created in 1908. This was the first art exhibition of this famous artist & poet. Although he met with success, his artwork stirred up tremendous controversy because of its Expressionist violence. This particular poster, beautiful and without violence, show a girl picking cotton. It marks Kokoschka's transition beween the Art Nouveau and Expressionist movements.
